Bobst are a specialist manufacture of packaging equipment operating a 7500m² factory near Rochdale. phi Low Carbon were commissioned as lead consultant to carry out a feasibility study for a new staff canteen, an assessment of the existing energy use of both the office and factory areas, recommendations to improve fabric efficiency, an assessment of solar PV yield and options to electrify the heating system.
Our RIBA Stage 2 Report assessed 3 options in terms of design, embodied carbon, operational energy, cost and constructability. The client is currently assessing these options.
