phi Low Carbon are working as Passivhaus and Embodied Carbon Consultants on this 120 dwelling mixed tenure scheme designed by 5Plus architects.
The scheme comprises houses for sale, social rented flats for the over 55s, Co-housing flats and houses as well as a specialist autism block. All dwellings are to be certified to the Passivhaus standard.
The terraced and compact built forms minimise the form factor whilst the use of a timber frame with natural and breathable insulation reduces embodied carbon.
A planning application was submitted in Feb 2025. For each block type phi Low Carbon have produced a Design PH model which has fed into PHPP calculations. Embodied carbon calculations have been produced using PHRibbon and benchmarked against LETI targets as has an assessment of PV yield.
